2 Peter 3:16-18
His (Paul) letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
It seems the Bible gets distorted in many ways these days. A favorite of those who don’t like to hear someone quote the Bible is “Judge not, lest ye be judged!” Another way the Bible is distorted is by paraphrasing. “God says we should love everyone so I can love who I want!” And then there’s literalism. “Nowhere in the Bible does it say abortion is a sin, so it’s ok!”
The Bible says ignorant and unstable people do this and it will lead to their destruction. It is a proven mass control tactic that if you say a lie enough times, and get enough people to repeat it, people will believe it. This has been going on for years, not just in our own community, but globally. It has been the destruction of many, many people. Take Venezuela, for example. They were a very stable, well off country of wealth and jobs and happy homes, much like the U.S. Someone told them they needed Socialism so everyone could benefit. The people were taxed so much, they couldn’t keep up. The working class didn’t work very hard because their money just went to other non working people. Businesses went under, people were paid off, now they’re feeding their children rotten meat and praying they don’t die.
The lie of the left is that they will help the poor and down trodden. How come women can only get assistance for their children if there’s no man in the house? Shouldn’t the children be encouraged to have a dad? Would children turn out differently if a father or father figure was present in the home to help raise the children? Why wouldn’t the left enable this to happen? They’re not being helpful at all, they’re being controlling.
“My body, my choice!” That’s a big lie. Jeremiah 1:5 says,
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
